Don't try to fix everything at once. A rewrite that nails one specific weakness teaches you more than a vague "make it better" pass. If your overview was weak, focus the whole rewrite on a sharp overview. If you ran out of linking words, focus on cohesion.

Model based on the consumer-goods expenditure data (~170 words)
The bar chart compares how much two countries, France and the UK, spent on five categories of consumer goods — cars, computers, books, perfume and cameras — in 2010, measured in pounds sterling.
Overall, the UK spent more than France on cars, books and cameras, whereas France spent more on computers and perfume. Cars attracted the highest expenditure in both countries.
Spending on cars was the largest category for each country, although the UK figure (£455,000) was somewhat higher than that of France (£400,000). The widest gap between the two countries was in cameras: UK expenditure reached £360,000, more than double the £150,000 spent in France. A similar pattern was seen for books, on which the UK spent £408,000 compared with France's £300,000.
France, by contrast, spent more on computers (£380,000 against £350,000) and on perfume, where its £200,000 clearly exceeded the UK's £138,000 — the only category in which UK spending fell below £150,000.
Notice: the overview groups the data (who spent more on what) without listing every figure; comparison language varies (whereas, although, by contrast, more than double); one passive ("A similar pattern was seen").

Some argue that this automation leads to job losses and economic inequality, while others contend that it creates new opportunities and boosts productivity. In my opinion, although there are valid concerns about displacement, the overall impact is positive if managed with retraining initiatives.
Proponents of the view that technology harms employment highlight the displacement of workers in traditional sectors. For instance, in manufacturing, robots have replaced assembly line jobs, resulting in unemployment rates rising by up to 20% in some regions like the US Midwest. This not only exacerbates social inequality but also leads to skill obsolescence, where workers struggle to adapt without support. Consequently, without intervention, such advancements could widen the gap between skilled and unskilled labor forces.
Conversely, others maintain that technology generates more jobs than it eliminates by fostering innovation and efficiency. AI, for example, has created roles in data analysis and programming, with global demand for tech specialists projected to grow by 25% by 2030 according to the World Economic Forum. Moreover, automation allows humans to focus on creative and strategic tasks, enhancing overall economic output. In countries like Japan, where robots handle repetitive work, productivity has surged without mass unemployment.
In conclusion, while technology undoubtedly poses risks of job displacement, I believe its potential to drive economic growth and new employment opportunities outweighs the negatives. Governments should prioritize education and reskilling programs to ensure a smooth transition in the labor market.
