What you'll do tonight
- Twenty minutes on the clock. Three planning, fifteen writing, two checking. Use the timer in the box.
- Before you press submit, run the five-point check below.
- Press Get AI Evaluation, read the feedback, and then submit by email.
The five-point check — do this every single time
- Are all three bullets covered, with a paragraph each?
- Is my purpose in the first sentence?
- Does my sign-off match my salutation? (Sir or Madam → faithfully; name → sincerely)
- Have I used any contractions in a formal letter? (I'm, don't, it's)
- Am I over 150 words?
Two minutes on this list is worth more than two minutes of extra writing, every time.
Task 1 — homework
You applied for a job three weeks ago and have not received any reply. Write a letter to the company you applied to.
In your letter:
- say which position you applied for and when
- explain why you are still interested in the job
- ask what stage the application has reached
You do NOT need to write any addresses. Begin your letter Dear Sir or Madam. Write at least 150 words.

Two things: press Get AI Evaluation on each task so you can see your indicative bands, and then Submit by email so your teacher has the script. The AI does not replace your teacher — it just means you get a first read within a minute instead of within a week.
