Duration: 90 minutes (60 min test + 25 min review) Module: Reading Focus: Timing, stamina, accuracy under exam conditions

30-Second Reminder Before You Start

Test conditions
  • 60 minutes total. 20 minutes per passage. No breaks. No looking up words.
  • Reading has no extra transfer time — your answers are final on screen as you go.
  • If you finish a passage early, check your answers — don't move on to the next one early. Pacing is the skill being tested.
  • Phones off, headphones off, no looking at neighbours.

How you'll sit this mock

This mock runs in the CBT player: split-screen passage and questions, a single 60-minute clock with 10- and 5-minute alerts, a question palette with review flags, text highlighting, and a final check screen — exactly like the real computer-delivered test. Your answers save as you type, and you can mark yourself the moment you finish.

Review & Discussion

In pairs or as a class, discuss the questions you missed. The instructor will walk through the top errors.

Discussion questions
  • Which passage was hardest? Why?
  • Which question type cost you the most marks?
  • Did you finish in time? If not, where did you lose minutes?
  • Any trap you fell for and now see clearly?
1:25 – 1:30

Wrap-Up — Strategy Review

One question to answer out loud, around the room: "What's the one technique you'll apply on the real test?" Make it concrete. Not "read better" — "spend the first 90 seconds skimming each passage before reading any question."

Tonight's homework

Fill in the post-test review grid with your missed questions, types, and reasons. Then create a "Top 5 Reading Tips" card based on your week. About 30 minutes.
