Homework · Day 5

Sit a Full Practice Test at Home

Estimated time: 50 minutes (test + review) Due: Before the start of the Reading module Submit by: Email (button at bottom)

What you'll do tonight

  1. Find a quiet 50-minute window with no interruptions.
  2. Sit Practice Test 2 (pages 174–189) under strict timing: 30 min audio + 10 min transfer.
  3. Score yourself using the Answer Key (pages 384–392).
  4. Reflect on which errors repeated from today's mock.
  5. Submit your score and reflection by email.
Honesty matters

The point of this homework is to see how you'd really do on test day. Don't pause the audio. Don't go back. Don't look up answers. A clean 25/40 is more useful than a fake 35/40.

The test, with timers

Use these timers to keep yourself honest. Start the 30-minute timer when you press play on Track 42 (Practice Test 2, Section 1). Stop only when the audio finishes.

Exercise 2 — Compare with today's mock

  1. Which section improved between today's mock and tonight's?
  2. Which section got worse (if any)?
  3. Did the same error pattern come back? If so, which?
  4. What's the one thing you'll fix before your next practice test?

Exercise 3 — Week reflection

You've spent five sessions on Listening. Take three minutes and answer honestly.

The biggest thing I learned this week:

One specific thing I'll practise this weekend:

One question I'd like to ask the instructor before the Reading module starts:
